Common questions
Straight answers before you request a quote
This page covers the questions a local business owner may have before starting. Where PixelForged has not confirmed a policy, the answer says so instead of filling the gap.
The plain answer
Website projects come with a strange mix of business decisions and technical details. Some questions have simple answers. Others depend on page count, content, account access, the current website, or a feature that needs to connect with another service.
These answers stay within the facts PixelForged has approved. There are no public package prices, standard timelines, support tiers, platform list, or final portal feature set yet. Each missing detail is marked so it can be replaced after a real policy is confirmed.
If your question involves a current website, include the URL when you request a quote. Seeing the real site is more useful than guessing from a description alone.
Choosing a service
Start with what needs fixing
A new website is usually the right path when the business has no proper site or the current presence cannot be used as a foundation. A redesign fits when useful content, traffic, domain history, or working features should be reviewed and carried forward. Ongoing support fits recurring website work after the larger build is settled.
Local visibility foundations focus on the information and technical structure that help customers and search engines understand the business. They do not come with a ranking promise.
Facts and placeholders
The owner confirms the business claims
PixelForged can help write clear copy, organize service information, and spot missing details. The business owner must confirm contact details, service area, licenses, guarantees, response times, pricing, years in business, project facts, and any other claim that could affect a customer's decision.
A placeholder is not filler meant for publication forever. It is a visible note that a fact, asset, or decision still needs an owner.
Questions people ask
Straight answers.
What kind of businesses does PixelForged work with?
PixelForged is focused on local small businesses, especially service businesses and tradespeople. The current site includes real work connected to paving and website tools, plus clearly labeled concepts for contractors, roofers, landscapers, salons, plumbers, electricians, HVAC companies, and cleaning services. A concept is not a client claim. Other local businesses can still request a quote.
Do I need to know which website service I need?
No. Choose Not sure on the quote form and describe the situation. A current site that feels dated may need a redesign, a focused repair, or only clearer content. A new business may need fewer pages than expected. The first review should identify the smallest honest scope that solves the stated problem.
How much does a website cost?
PixelForged has not supplied public prices or approved ranges. Cost depends on page count, content readiness, design work, custom features, integrations, photography, migration needs, account access, and launch requirements. The website cost guide explains those factors.
How long will my website take?
Timing depends on scope, how quickly business facts and assets are available, the review process, account access, integrations, and launch coordination. A quote should state the expected schedule and the decisions or delays that can change it.
Can PixelForged write the website copy?
PixelForged can help shape headlines, service explanations, calls to action, and supporting copy in plain language. The owner still needs to verify business facts and approve claims. PixelForged will not invent testimonials, project results, service areas, licenses, prices, guarantees, or customer stories to make a page feel complete.
What if I do not have professional photos?
The project can begin with an honest image inventory and an approved plan. Existing real photos may be usable with editing and careful placement. Concepts or placeholders must be labeled until final images are supplied.
Will I own the website?
These points should be written into the quote or agreement before work begins. A client should know which accounts they own, which services renew separately, and what is delivered at handoff.
Which website platforms does PixelForged use?
The choice should follow the site requirements, editing needs, hosting, forms, integrations, performance needs, and who will maintain the site. A familiar platform is not automatically the right answer for every business.
Can you keep my current search traffic during a redesign?
No one can promise unchanged traffic. PixelForged can reduce avoidable risk by reviewing existing pages, preserving useful content, mapping redirects, keeping canonical URLs consistent, checking internal links, and validating the production sitemap and robots rules. Existing analytics and Search Console data help when access is available.
Do you guarantee local search rankings?
No. PixelForged can improve the website foundation with clearer services, crawlable copy, useful metadata, internal links, factual local information, and appropriate structured data. Rankings also depend on competition, proximity, demand, authority, reviews, prominence, and search-system changes outside PixelForged's control.
What is Design Bot?
Design Bot is an optional plain-language tool for questions about website design, development, copy, accessibility, conversion, basic SEO, local visibility, photography, and PixelForged services. Email is optional and should be used only when the visitor submits it for transcript delivery or disconnect protection. It is not a general-purpose assistant.
What is Website Draft Bot?
Website Draft Bot asks five questions about the trade, service area, business name, desired customer action, and visual direction. It creates one anonymous rough homepage draft without requiring email. Verified email unlocks exactly three AI revisions. Local palette changes do not use a revision. Drafts are starting points and may contain labeled placeholders.
Is the generated homepage safe to publish?
No. The draft is sanitized static HTML and CSS shown inside a restricted preview, but it is still a rough direction. It cannot publish itself, run scripts, submit forms, or load arbitrary URLs. Business facts, copy, accessibility, design, links, forms, and production behavior still need human review before any real site launch.
Is the monthly business portal available?
The custom portal and customized agent are planned. Planned capabilities include retrieving business information, helping manage Google Ads, and creating estimates. Until then, the website must describe these capabilities as planned rather than available.
What happens after launch?
The launch handoff should identify who controls the domain, hosting, forms, analytics, content, and third-party services. Ongoing support may be available for updates and practical guidance.
